who we are

evan GmbH was founded in 2016 based on more than 15 years of IT experience, ambition and team spirit of the founders Thomas Müller (CEO) and Thomas Herbst (CTO). Their vision is to begin a new era of a decentralized platform economy where companies can cooperate without being dependent on central platforms. For this purpose, evan GmbH has initiated the evan.network – a neutral cross-industry business blockchain for the digitalization and automation of business transactions – and continuously works on its further development.

At the beginning of 2019 André Münnich joined evan as CFO and achieved a seed funding in the mid seven-digit range. The Dresden B2B-Startup collaborates with several well-known companies and has won prizes, such as an award for best blockchain startup in Europe in 2018. evan currently employs about 10 people and is expanding its staff.

At evan we all share a common goal: We are actively shaping the next generation of the Internet, the Web3.0, characterized by decentralization and cooperation at eye level. With the Web 3.0, a new economic system is emerging. It relies on open cooperative platforms instead of fostering central data monopolies.

Why should companies use central platforms when they can also easily team up? We are creating the digital basis exactly for this purpose. A modern cooperation platform operated by the companies themselves, controlled by a neutral organisation, developed by a passionate team. Our product enables cooperation at eye level, which is exactly what we stand for in our team. Respect and openness are firmly anchored in our core values. Each individual employee is responsible for turning our vision into reality. This commitment grows best in freedom. With flexible work models, employers decides for themselves when to focus their attention on important things outside the workplace. Centralized leadership, fixed hierarchies and dominance are the things of the past. What applies to our product, determines our daily actions. This is what we stand for as evan.team.
